Call to Adventure
"He had begun to feel that his father's love and his mother's love, and even the love of Govinda, would not bring him continuous happiness, would not be sufficient to his needs."
Explanation:
Siddhartha has all of the love that he needs in his life, but he doesn't think that's enough. He has this desire to find something else, a true understanding of the world around him. He's not happy with the current lifestyle and this is the cause of him wanting to become a Samana. Siddharthas' goal is to find happiness, he believes the only way to find this is to achieve complete understanding of the universe. The call to adventure is the starting point, this helps Siddhartha become enlightened. His thirst for knowledge and complete understanding led him to follow the Samanas and become an enlightened being. This is the initiation for Sidhdartha's journey to enlightenment and the plot for the entire story.
